Qualification isn't gatekeeping. It's making sure the hour your team spends is spent on the person most likely to buy.
Every business says it wants more leads. Very few want more unqualified leads, which is usually what arrives.
Define 'qualified' in writing
If your team can't state the four criteria that make an enquiry worth a call, no system can filter for them. Budget range, timeline, geography, decision authority, category fit — pick the ones that actually predict a sale for you.
Qualify in conversation, not in a form
Forms with ten fields don't qualify leads, they reduce them. A short conversation collects more, feels less like an interrogation and lets you ask the follow-up question a form never could.
Disqualify quickly and kindly
Telling someone honestly that you're not the right fit costs thirty seconds and buys you a referral. Stringing them along costs a meeting.
